SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- SPAC has announced that the New York City Ballet's annual residency will be cut short next year.
The ballet will only spend one week in the Spa City as opposed to the traditional two.
Both SPAC and the New York City Ballet blamed financial constraints for the change.
The NYCB began loading up for this season just this past Monday.
SPAC is considering bringing other ballet companies to fill the one week void for next season, but notes that the hope is to bring the NYCB back for two weeks in 2014.
This season will continue as planned, running from July 10th through 21st.
