Man injured in Saratoga County crash
SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- One man is in critical condition following an accident in Saratoga County. It happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday on Route 29 East at Schallehn Road.
Police say Conan O'Rourke, 41, was traveling west when he was hit by another car that police say was driving too close. Police say O'Rourke lost control and drove off the road. They say his car hit a guardrail and flew through the air through trees and into a 40 foot deep ravine along Route 29.
O'Rourke was thrown from the car. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition.
Police say the other vehicle spun around and came to a stop against a guardrail. The driver was treated and released from Saratoga Hospital.
Route 29 was closed from Gilbert Road to Old Schuylerville Road for about six hours.
