HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Talks resume Monday between Con Edison and the union representing roughly 8,500 locked out workers.

The company announced Sunday that it would reinstate health insurance for employees. About 5,000 managers are keeping electricity going for 3.2 million customers in New York City and Westchester County.

A spokesperson for the union said the company reinstated health insurance due to public pressure.
