HANCOCK, MA -- The wounded warrior project is taking over Jiminy Peak this weekend. Stride Adaptive Sports is welcoming 21 wounded warriors and their families for a weekend of fun in the snow.

This is not the first time soldiers are hitting the slopes with modified skiing and snowboarding equipment. Earlier this year, wounded warriors were welcomed at Windham Mountain.

Many of the participants in Sunday's event are from New York State transition units, having recently returned with traumatic injuries.
