SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Shen and Shaker communities came together once again in support of their fellow classmates Matt Hardy and Bailey Wind.
The two teens were injured in a crash on the Northway back in December that killed classmates Christopher Stewart and Deanna Rivers.
Sunday, a fundraising pancake breakfast was held at the Vischer Ferry Fire Station to help with the recovery costs for the two teens. Organizers say this event wouldn't be possible without the help of the community.
"Every single piece of food was donated from local businesses, community members. All our raffle items were donated, so everything that we make today will 100 percent go to Matt and Bailey," event coordinator Sarah deForest said.
There is no word yet how much was raised, but organizers are hoping the grand total will be somewhere between $6,000 and $10,000.
