Local student-athletes sign letters of intent

Wednesday marked an exciting day for future college student-athletes as they signed their National Letters of Intent. A handful of students put pen to paper. YNN's Chris Watson has the details.

LATHAM, N.Y. -- Shaker High School had three football players from the state semifinalist Blue Bison team sign letters to play at the collegiate level.

David Morrisson is headed to ivy league Dartmouth, Schuyler Huntington will play in the CAA as a member of the Maine Black Bears and teammate Ryan Griffin will stay local and play for Bob Ford and the UAlbany Great Danes in their new stadium.

DELMAR, N.Y. -- At Bethlehem High School, three student athletes put pen to paper on Division I offers. Golfer Victor Fox will play at the University of Maryland.

A pair of soccer teammates are going Division I as well. Goalie Katie Nickles is going to the University of Rhode Island and forward Tara Teal will play at Manhattan College.
