NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- Jockey Ramon Dominguez is making progress in his recovery after falling off a horse at Aqueduct Racetrack earlier this month.

NYRA says Dominguez has been transferred from an intensive care unit to a medical step-down unit at a New York City Hospital. His wife says he's recovering well from a skull fracture and the family is beginning to discuss his rehab options.

Dominguez led all riders on the NYRA circuit last year with 322 victories and led the nation in earnings.
