MASSACHUSETTS -- People in Massachusetts will soon be able to keep tabs on how state Senators vote, just by going online.

The Massachusetts Senate adopted a proposal that will require all roll call votes to be posted on the Senate's official web site within 48 hours of a vote being taken. The measure was passed unanimously and is scheduled to take effect by May 1st.

Many lawmakers are calling this a step in the right direction for government transparency.
