Two men lead State Police on chase

SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A bizarre series of events in the case of two Schenectady men who State Police initially pulled over for speeding and later ended up arresting.

Kip Asmus, 30, and Benjamin Rapisarda, 29, were pulled over near Van Patten Drive in Clifton Park Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. State Police say Asmus, who was the driver, got out of the car and began fighting with the trooper before he ran into the woods. Rapisarda then apparently got in the driver's seat and sped away as a second trooper arrived at the scene.

Both men were later arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and disorderly conduct. They are being held at Saratoga County Jail.
