POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A water main break in front of City Hall has prompted the mayor to declare a State of Emergency in Poughkeepsie. That means city employees, except emergency personnel, need not report to work on Wednesday.

According to the mayor, water is flowing down the front steps of City Hall and he says they'll likely have to take out some steps to fix the problem.

People living near the City Hall may experience times without water.

The State of Emergency will remain in place until the water main is fixed.
