ALBANY, N.Y. -- As temperatures continue to drop, staying warm can be a challenge for those struggling financially. That's why the National Grid Foundation and Catholic Charities are once again teaming up to give heating aid to families in need.

The groups announced another $65,000 grant for this winter.

The president of the National Grid Foundation says they had to up the grant this year because of a greater need.

"We have stepped up an increased our grant to $65,000. I wish we really didn't have to do that, but the need is there and we want to be able to help as many people as we can. We are just grateful we have a wonderful partner like Catholic Charities," said Bob Keller, President of the National Grid Foundation.

This is the fifth year in a row the National Grid Foundation has partnered with Catholic Charities.
