HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. – A heads up for victims of Superstorm Sandy looking for some government assistance. The deadline for requests for public assistance has been extended for another month.

Not-for-profit groups in Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Ulster counties now have until February 11th to file all the necessary paperwork. Originally those groups had to have their requests in by Saturday.

Individuals looking for aid must submit their applications by January 28th.
