ALBANY, N.Y. -- There's an update to report in the race for the 46th Senate District between George Amedore and Cecilia Tkazcyk.

An Appeals Court has ruled that 99 ballots which were originally thrown out should be counted.

Currently, Amedore leads by 37 votes.

The race has remained close since the November election, and recently, Tkaczyk took the battle to court, arguing that more than 400 ballots were improperly thrown out. That led to the Appeals Court decision.
