COLONIE, N.Y. -- Soldiers received a warm welcome at Albany International after returning from a long deployment overseas. Members of the New York Army National Guard's 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team were reunited with their families after being away for almost a year.

"It's overwhelming. It's also a really good feeling to know that people are supporting us and glad to see us back. So, it's really, really appreciated," said Maj. Todd Balog, NY Army National Guard.

Many of the troops were deployed to Afghanistan and Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
