CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- The American Red Cross is once again teaming up with Dunkin Donuts for the sixth annual "Give a Pint Get a Pound" campaign.
January is designated Blood Donor Month, and as a way to say thank you, Dunkin' Donuts is giving out a free pound of coffee to all blood donors. The campaign is also a way to try to boost donations.
The Red Cross says donors typically stay away during the holiday season and when the bad weather hits. As a result, blood supplies are used up faster.
Dunkin' Donuts has given away more than 300,000 pounds of coffee during the campaign.
