LIVINGSTON, N.Y. -- A crash in Livingston took the life of a 21-year-old Germantown resident.

State Police responded to the scene in the Town of Livingston around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say Thomas Griffin, 19, drove off the road and struck a utility pole. Passenger Max Kelly was extricated from the vehicle and brought to Albany Med, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Griffin is being charged with DWI and vehicular assault in the second degree.
Further charges are expected.
