ALBANY, NY. -- A federal judge has denied former Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno's motion to dismiss his indictment. That means prosecutors will get another trial against Bruno next year.
Bruno was re-indicted back in May after his 2009 conviction was thrown out following the Supreme Court ruling that struck down the theft of Honest Services Law. He's accused of carrying out a scheme to defraud the state.
The indictment says Bruno did so with bribery and kickbacks, to the tune of $440,000.
