CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- Two Capital Region residents received oversized checks from the lottery's Yolanda Vega after winning scratch off games.

[Kenneth Stroud of Troy won $2 million. The Monopoly Millionaire scratch off was bought at the Hannaford Supermarket in West Sand Lake last month.

Magan MacDavid of Queensbury won on the $1,000 a Week for Life scratch off game. MacDavid purchased the ticket at the Cumberland Farms on Quaker Road in Queensbury.

"You can't describe it. A weight is taken off. Our children's future is paid because their education is going to be paid for," said Stroud.

A newlywed, MacDavid says she plans to pay off her student loans and invest.
