SCHOHARIE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Work is expected to resume on the $400 million Gilboa Dam reservoir project.

The Department of Environmental Protection says they'll start installing two steel pipes that will be used to siphon water out of the reservoir. Once in place, officials say each pipe will be able to release 250 million gallons a day, helping regulate water levels and hopefully prevent flooding downstream.

The project should take about three weeks.
