CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- One of the most infamous, real-life crime stories to rock the Capital Region is heading for cable television.
"Deadline Hollywood" reports the Lifetime Channel will turn the Christopher Porco saga into a made for TV movie. It'll be called "The Romeo Killer: The Christopher Porco Story."
Actor Matt Barr will play the Bethlehem native, who was convicted of brutally murdering his father with an ax and attempting to kill his mother back in 2004.
There is no word on when it will debut on the network.
Porco is currently serving 50 years to life in prison.
