ALBANY, N.Y. -- A benefit was held in Albany Friday for the victims of hurricane Sandy. Schenectady High School graduate Casper Wells, who's now a Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball player, was at Circles in Stevysant Plaza signing autographs and collecting donations.

Wells says he's happy to be back in the Capital Region and able to help those hit hard by Sandy.

"You know, it’s just, it's really a tragedy time and this is the least I can do to help those people in their time of need," Wells said.

Wells is an outfielder for the Mariners.
