Teen arrested for burglary
AMSTERDAM, N.Y. -- An Amsterdam man has been accused of breaking into a garage and stealing items belonging to an anti-domestic violence organization.
The victim says the garage was secure the last time it was checked in October, but when it was checked again this week, the door was damaged and several items were missing from inside.
Police arrested Carlos Figueroa, 18, who lives at the same address as the garage. Officers say they found stolen items inside his apartment.
Figueroa has been charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.
The victim says over $50,000 worth of donations were damaged and missing.
