LIBERTY, N.Y. -- Another area of the Hudson Valley hit hard was Sullivan County. Thousands are without power and could be for several days.

Crews from around the region and other states are trying to fix power lines and clean up trees fallen onto homes, roads and cars. They have been, and will be, out all day and night until everyone's power is back on.

One Liberty resident said he was terrified once the storm moved in and the winds started picking up.

"We were sitting in the den and we just kept hearing banging and the house shaking, and it just, from one side to the other side," Liberty resident Darren Lesser said.

There is some dry ice available at the village police department for those in need of it.
