AMSTERDAM, N.Y. -- Community members in Amsterdam are literally fighting to raise money so they can return Shuttleworth Park to it's original glory. The Shuttleworth Park Foundation is holding an amateur boxing exhibition at the field to help raise money for the restoration project.

Saturday's events will feature up to 15 amateur boxing matches with local fighters. The Shuttleworth Park Foundation is looking to raise nearly $1.5 million over the next five years so they can restore the home of the Amsterdam Mohawks to the way it looked back in the 1930s and 1940s. Saturday's event runs from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. This is just the first of several fundraising events to come.
