SARATOGA, N.Y. -- The official start of racing at the Spa is still four days away, but fans got a chance to check out the race course a little early at the 32nd annual Open House on Sunday.
The open house kicks off the unofficial start of the 144th season of racing at the Saratoga Race Course. Racing at Belmont is done, so we'll start to see some of the top trainers and jockeys making their way to Saratoga in the next few days.
One of those top trainers is Mechanicville native Chad Brown who is looking to improve on a great season last year.
Brown finished second to Pletcher in the race for the training title and hopes his barn's expansion will allow him to compete for the title once again this year.
