MAYFIELD, N.Y. -- After a string of burglaries in the Town of Mayfield, the Fulton County Sheriff's office has arrested two people.

Sheriff's Deputies arrested Shane Laport, 17, after investigators say they recovered reported stolen property at his home. They say Guy Ligon, 23, has also been arrested in connection to the thefts.

Both face burglary and grand larceny charges and remain in custody at the Fulton County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
