ALBANY, N.Y. -- CDPHP announced a new partnership with the Colonie Youth Center's Rudy A. Ciccotti's Family Recreation Center. The new program is called "Well on Our Way." It's designed to help motivate people with chronic illnesses to live healthier lives.

This program offers exercise, health education, and support for anyone who has struggled with long term illnesses like cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Folks at the center say it’s important to get people moving again, even if you're sick.

"It's a way of introducing exercise back into their lives and trying to keep it there because there is so much research showing in how important exercise is on a daily basis," said Mary Ibbetson, cancer survivor and certified personal trainer.

The program will be held every Monday night at the Ciccotti Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. up on the track.
