HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Police in Hoosick Falls are investigating the death of an infant, but few details have been released so far.

Police Chief Bob Ash said the baby's death was reported Monday night. We've learned that the baby lived at a Willow Street home with mom Darcy Calif. The home's landlord tells us the baby's father doesn't live there.

We spoke with an uncle of the baby who said he didn't understand why a baby that young had to die.

Sources tell us that there didn't appear to be any obvious signs of abuse.

Police, meanwhile, said an autopsy is being preformed and more information could be released Wednesday or Thursday.
