BERKSHIRE COUNTY, N.Y. -- "So, who's gonna win?" asked our reporter.
"Definitely the Giants," said a customer at Sports Zone, a sporting goods store at Berkshire Mall.
"Patriots and by three," proclaimed Pittsfield Mayor Dan Bianchi.
Grab your Patriots ice cubes and nurse your drink of choice in a Giants beverage sleeve. The home team maybe more definite in the Capital Region, but here in Berkshire County…
"Definitely the Patriots, just like the Red Socks," mocked a customer at Halpins Pub in Lenox.
Over at Halpins Pub in Lenox, the wings are hot, the beer just as cold and the rivalry alive and well.
"Giants, 38 to 35," predicted one patron.
"I have to say Patriots because I'm going to be loud," said a pub employee.
Perhaps the ultimate litmus test can conducted at the cash register.
"Patriots and Giants have been selling, but as you can see, I've been selling more Patriots stuff," said Joshua Brooks, assistant manager, Sports Zone.
Big man Welker's jersey on display at Sports Zone in Berkshire Mall, though, Giants t-shirts, ties, your tchotchke of choice, all selling in advance of Sunday's big game.
Though, while we were there, Giants fans outnumbered those Patriots by two to one.
"I'm going to be cooking with my Giants apron and hat on," said one customer at Sports Zone as he held a Giants apron.
Still, at City Hall, Mayor Bianchi says it's going down Patriots style.
"How do you know?" asked our reporter.
"I don't. I'm only hoping," Bianchi responded.
Even the sheriff votes Brady.
"So they tell me you're Mr. Football? So with that said..." joked our reporter.
"Mr. football? Who told you that," Tom Bowler, sheriff, Berkshire County, said.
Maybe not Mr. Football, but at least we know he owned the diamond.
"Unequivocally, the Patriots. Gotta be the Patriots," Bowler said.
So, the home team appears to be the Patriots, but even thought this is the Bay State, don't sleep on those Giants fans.
"We'll be out in full force on Sunday," said a Giants fan at Halpins Pub.
