New life for an old church in Watervliet

Saint Ann's Catholic Church was founded more than a century ago in Troy, and moved to Watervliet in December. On Saturday, the church received its official consecration.

State Assemblyman Vito Lopez announced Friday he intends to resign at the end of this year's legislative session on June 20th. The decision comes just days after a special prosecutor cleared the Brooklyn lawmaker of criminal wrongdoing over accusations he groped female staffers. Zack Fink has more on the announcement and the pressure that came from leaders to have Lopez step down.

A special night at the speedway

Friday night was a special night for a little boy, who lost his family in a tragic accident. Eight-year-old Matthew Sleight's mother, brother and a family friend were all killed in a crash in March. Little Matthew, unharmed in the crash, was comforted on the scene by a local Marine who was passing by. Friday night, the two spent the evening at the Albany Saratoga Speedway. Maria Valvanis has more.
