CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The New York Jets are in Cortland and ready to get this year's training camp underway. The team's first practice kicked off Monday morning on the SUNY Cortland Campus.

Sunday, the Jets moved into Cortland for what will be three three weeks of preparing for the upcoming season. The team has already announced they'll be back next summer for another training camp and they say they are excited to continue to be part of a city that has welcomed them with open arms.

"We built this beautiful new facility. The Atlantic Health Facility and were ready to have training camp there. And Rex said, 'The one thing I want to do is go away because we're going to leave as individuals and come back as team.' And that's exactly what happened. And Cortland has been great,” said Mike Tannenbaum, New York Jets General Manager.

The first practice that's open to the public is at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
