New Super Mario Bros. U

The video game industry loves titles that a 7-year-old, a 37-year-old, and a 67-year-old can all get equally excited about, and Super Mario games have done exactly that for years. In New Super Mario Bros. U for the Wii U, you can easily play a significant role even if you've never touched a video game in your life.

At its core, it's similar in look and feel to every other Mario game throughout all of time, but through the Wii U's gamepad, someone looking on can poke the screen and pop little temporary blocks up in the game to either help or hinder our heroes. In addition, with that gamepad, up to five people can play at once.

Scribblenauts Unlimited

The Scribblenauts franchise comes to the big screen with Scribblenauts Unlimited.

If you don't know this game, you have different tasks and this magic pencil and notepad to help fulfill them. Nearly anything you can think of to write in that notepad will then pop up in the game for you to use, from a polka-dotted dragon to a time machine.

New to this version is an object creator that can make entirely new beings or things from scratch. They can even be shared online.

Scribblenauts Unlimited is for the Wii U, the Nintendo DS and 3DS, and Windows PCs for between $30-60.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two

And Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two allows adults and kids to play together, one as Mickey and one as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Mickey once again carries his magic paintbrush for bringing objects back with paint or making them disappear with thinner. Oswald has a remote control for manipulating electricity.

As with the first Epic Mickey, you'll be playing through classic Mickey Mouse scenes, trying to save the magic world of Wasteland.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is out for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and 3DS for between $30-50.
