ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany County Police are warning people celebrating St. Patrick's Day this weekend to be extra careful as they make their plans. They're warning the public about a DWI crackdown that they will be conducting.
Officers said while they normally wouldn't announce the plan, they're using it as an educational campaign to try to promote good judgment this weekend and encourage people to take taxis or make sure to have a designated driver.
Albany County Police made 21 arrests in their last DWI crackdown in February.
